10-Day Itinerary FAQ

Can I follow this itinerary exactly or do I need to adjust?
This is a flexible framework. You can follow it exactly, swap days around, skip activities you're not interested in, or add your own. The goal is to experience the best of Pattaya—beaches, nightlife, culture, and day trips. If you're more interested in nightlife than beaches, spend more time on Walking Street and less on Koh Larn.
What if I only have 5 days instead of 10?
Condense it: Day 1 (arrive, first night), Day 2 (Jomtien + GoGo), Day 3 (Koh Larn island), Day 4 (Walking Street full night), Day 5 (Muay Thai, last night, depart). You'll see the essentials but miss some day trips.
Is this itinerary suitable for couples or just solo travelers?
It works for both. Couples might spend less time in GoGo bars and more on beaches/dining/couple activities. Solo travelers will naturally fit into the nightlife scene. Adjust the itinerary to your group.
What's the best time of year to do this itinerary?
November to February (cool season). March-May is hot (38-40°C). June-October is rainy season. Cool season = more comfortable beach days + better nightlife crowds. Book 2-3 months in advance during peak season.
Do I need to book activities in advance?
Most don't require advance booking. Koh Larn ferries, Muay Thai classes, scuba diving can be booked the day before or day-of. Nong Nooch Garden is walk-up. Hotels and flights need advance booking.
What if I don't drink alcohol?
Replace bars with: street food tours, cultural sites, beaches, massages, cafés, shopping. Pattaya has plenty to do beyond nightlife. You'll be the rare visitor watching from the sidelines while others party—which is equally valid.
Is Pattaya safe to walk around at night?
Very safe. Millions of tourists walk around 24/7. Use common sense: avoid very empty streets late at night, keep valuables secure, don't get too drunk and separated from friends. Walking Street and main tourist areas are well-lit and heavily trafficked. You'll be fine.
What should I bring for a 10-day Pattaya trip?
Light clothes, swimsuit, sunscreen, cash/Wise card, passport, travel insurance. Pattaya is hot and humid. Bring minimal luggage—you won't need much beyond clothes, toiletries, and a phone.
How do I get from Bangkok airport to Pattaya?
Grab is easiest (90 mins, 500-600 baht). Airport bus costs 100 baht but takes longer. Don't take metered taxis (overpriced). Book Grab on arrival and you're set.
Can I extend this to 14 or 21 days?
Absolutely. Repeat favorite days, add day trips (Khao Yai National Park, Bangkok day trip, Cambodia border), do more water sports, take more massage days. After 10 days, you'll know what you love and can tailor the rest of your stay.
