Premium bars on Walking Street (Walking Street, best-known venues) may charge 100–200 THB entry, especially on weekends. Some charge no entry but have a 1-drink minimum.
Always check at the door: "Entrance fee free?" Standard answer in English-speaking bars is "Free, buy drink." This means no cover charge, just order at least one drink.
Chang, Leo, Heineken: 100–150 THB per bottle
Prices are higher than beer bars (where they're 60–80 THB) because gogo bars have higher overhead and girls earning stage time. You're paying for the venue and the entertainment, not just the beer.

Budget tip: Order beer if money is tight. Cocktails don't improve your experience, just cost more.
Lady drinks: 150–200 THB each
This is the main way gogo bars and girls make money. When you order a lady drink (or any drink for a girl), she gets a commission — usually 60–80 THB per drink.
You pay 150–200 THB, she makes 60–80 THB, the bar keeps the rest. This incentivizes girls to spend time with customers and encourages repeat orders.
Strategy: One lady drink gets her attention. Two or three keeps her at your table for 30+ minutes. This is normal and expected. Don't feel obligated — but if you want her company, buy drinks.
Bar fine: 500–1,000 THB depending on the bar
Important: Bar fine is paid to the bar ONLY. The girl gets nothing from the bar fine. It's the bar's compensation for losing her as a working girl that night.
Girl fee: 1,500–3,000 THB short time, 2,500–5,000 THB long time
This is negotiated directly with the girl, not the bar. It's her fee for her time outside the bar.
Key difference: Bar fine goes to the bar. Girl fee goes to the girl. You pay both if you take her out. Don't confuse them.
VIP tables/booths: 5,000–20,000 THB depending on venue
Premium gogo bars offer VIP seating with reserved tables, bottle service, and often includes a drink package.
What's included: Reserved table, better sightlines, waiter service, sometimes bottle of spirits + mixers, sometimes food platters.
When to do it: Only if you're going in a group (4+ people) to split the cost. Solo or with one other person, it's not worth it. Regular seating is fine.
5,000 THB = small booth, cheaper bar. 10,000 THB+ = premium table at LK Metro or top Walking Street bar.
Tips: 20–50 THB per dancer is normal
When girls dance on stage, customers tip them. Leave money on stage next to where they're dancing, or hand it directly to them if they come down.
20 THB = basic tip, shows you watched her dance. 50 THB+ = generous, she'll remember you.
You're not obligated to tip, but it's expected if you're spending money on drinks. Tipping stage dancers is how they survive on nights when they don't get bar fined.
